With more than two decades in film and television, she creates costumes that do more than dress characters \u2014 they reveal them. Through color, silhouette, and movement, Kairo builds visual worlds that feel lived\u2011in, expressive, and deeply human.<\/p><p>Her path into costume design is as layered as her work. A Baltimore native with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from St. John\u2019s University, Kairo began her career in the marketing department of a lifestyle magazine before discovering her passion for costume design on a film set. Along the way, she explored bodybuilding, law enforcement, and visual merchandising \u2014 experiences that now inform her intuitive understanding of identity, physicality, and the psychology of dress.<\/p><p>Kairo\u2019s designs are shaped by research, curiosity, and a global perspective. She has worked in Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, and across the United States, bringing a culturally expansive lens to every story. Her work blends emotional intelligence with a strong command of color, texture, and character development, resulting in costumes that resonate with realism, artistry, and narrative power.<\/p><p>For the past ten years, Kairo has been represented by Innovative Artists, designing projects up to $15M and leading teams with clarity, collaboration, and vision. She excels at building cohesive visual languages, managing complex builds, and partnering closely with directors and producers to bring stories to life.<\/p><p>Now splitting her time between Costa Rica, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, Kairo is stepping into the next chapter of her career \u2014 expanding into larger-scale productions in the $25M+ range.
